Southeast Asia Self Realization Tour in conjunction with H.H. Shri Mataji’s 100th Birthday Celebration

High Commissioner H.E B.N.Reddy interacted with a 23-member delegation from #Odisha comprising academics and researchers visiting Malaysia as part of Bharat Culture Tour of South East Asia 2023. The delegation also met other members from Malaysia Odia Association, Oriya Association of Malaysia, Malaysia-India Heritage Society, GOPIO Malaysia and Netaji Welfare Foundation at an special “Meet and Greet” Session held at NSCBICC.

Odisha academicians were led by Mr.Kamalesh Dash, RastriyaSamparkaPramukh, AkhilaBharatiyaItihasaSankalanaYojana. Discussions centred on the age-old connect between ancient Kalinga and SE Asia, including in Malaysia, and ways to reinforce cross cultural linkages between Odisha and Malaysia.Presence of over 5000 Odiya-speaking Malaysian Indian community serves as a living linkage of this connect. Counsellor Amrita Dash also interacted with the delegation to deepen their engagement with Malaysian Indian community organisations.

NIRF Rankings

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015. This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources” ,“Research and Professional Practices”, “Graduation Outcomes” ,“Outreach and Inclusivity” and “Perception”.

IIM Tiruchirappalli has been placed 17th in the category of ‘Management Institutions’ in the NIRF 2021 rankings
