4TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
1.The Indian Cultural Centre will celebrate its 4th Anniversary Celebrations by showcasing Indian culture through “Cultural Confluence” featuring music, dance and percussion ensemble through performances by teachers, graduates and students of Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur, ASWARA, Manasa Yoga and Indian Cultural Centre, Kuala Lumpur. The programme will be held on Monday, 17th March, 2014 at Auditorium Kompleks Perdana Siswa, University of Malaya from 7.00 p.m. onwards. The programme is organized in collaboration with India International Bank Malaysia Berhad.
2.The Indian Cultural Centre, Kuala Lumpur, a cultural a Cultural Wing of High Commission of India , Kuala Lumpur was established in February 2010 to showcase India’s rich heritage and promote multilayered cultural exchanges between the peoples of India and Malaysia.
3.The establishment of the centre in an important initiative of the government of India in keeping with the high priority it attaches to its bilateral relations with Malaysia. It is situated in Capsquare, Jalan Munshi Abdullah and conducts classes in Carnatic Vocal, Kathak dance, Yoga, Hindi language and Tabla by trained teachers from India and Malaysia.
4 At the Indian cultural centre more than 370 students are taking advantage of the classes. In addition ICC also gives platform to the local talents and organizes regular performances at its multipurpose hall and outside depending upon the events. In this connection ICC is thankful and works in cooperation with the cultural institutions based in Malaysia like Temple of fine Arts, ASWARA, Sutra Dance Theatre , Kalpana Arts Academy, Manasa Yoga, Kshetra Dance Academy, Tanjai Kamala Indira Dance School, Nrityam Arts (Puchong) to name a few for promoting local talents and Indian Culture in Malaysia. “Cultural Confluence” is showcasing the talents of these cultural institutions and the ICC as well.

6.The entry to the event is free. All are cordially invited to witness the event and enjoy essence of the Indian culture through dance and music.
