Painting Competition in conjunction with Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024 Competition Rules and Regulations

  1. Category
    • Category A (Age 7 to 12 years old)
    • Category B (Age 13 – 17 years old)

b. General regulations

  • Submission Period: 02 – 14 October 2024 (Wednesday before 05:00 pm GMT+8). All artwork should reach Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre as physical paper.Size and volume to be drawn on the template of A4 sized-paper or the equivalent by paint, color pencils or crayons etc.Digital colouring is acceptable.Each entry must be authentic, original, not facilitated by artificial intelligence (A.I.) and should never been exhibited before.The entry shall be disqualified if the work includes any of the followings which may infringe any other person’s copyrights or which may deny originality.Any copy or reproduction of pictures, cartoons, sentences, or artworks facilitated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) method, etc.Cut-out of anything that may infringe trademark and/or portrait rights; cut-out from printed materials such as newspapers, magazine and advertisements; or usage of artificial intelligence tools in production of works.Please do not damage the art template by using glue, stapler, or lamination.Participants must only use paint, colour pencils or crayons or equivalent digital colouring format.All art/raw materials must be prepared by the participants.Artwork must be clean, sturdy, in good condition and does not pose any hazard to members of the public.Artworks that do not meet the criteria, lacking quality, wrong interpretation within the artworks as mentioned in ‘Judging Criteria’ or are perceived to be offensive or may cause distress to the public will automatically be rejected by NSCBICC.

  • Selected artworks will be put on display and open for public viewing on 18 October 2024 at NSCBICC.
  • Any changes of the exhibition date will be formally notified to all selected participants.
    • All participants to attend the prize giving ceremony scheduled for 18 October 2024 (Friday) from 04:00 pm onwards at Multipurpose Hall, NSCBICC.
  • Judging Criteria
    • A panel of judges (external and internal) selected by NSCBICC will select winners in each category based on the following:
      • Creativity and effectiveness in interpreting and presenting the theme;
      • Levels of skillfulness and overall finishing of the artwork.
    • By participating in this competition, participants hereby expressly agree to be bound by these rules and regulations and any decisions made by the judges of NSCBICC are final and binding.
    • Division of marking:
      • Creativity (40 %)
      • Theme reflection (30 %)
      • Neatness (10 %)
      • Colours and design (20%)
