29th July 2011: Inauguration of the 4th Solo Exhibition “LINEA”, an exhibition of artworks created by ballpoint pen by Mr. Krishnan Karuppiah at ICC at 7.30 p.m. The exhibition will be on display at ICC Art Gallery from 30th July until 10th Sept 2011.
11th to 15th May 2011: The Indian Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur would be celebrating 150 Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in the first half of May 2011. 1st to 13th March 2011 : Visit of Dr. H.M. Chandola, Professor (Ayurveda), Gujarat Ayurveda University to the ICC, KL. Besides having a number of meetings with Government Officials and Medical Practitioners in Malaysia, Dr. Chandola also gave Consultation and Medical Advice to the general public. A Workshop on Ayurveda was also organized at the ICC on 13th March 2011, where he spoke on ‘Psychosomatic Medicine in Ayurveda’. Dr. Prasanth .VS, also presented his talk on ‘Yoga & Diabetes’ during the Workshop.
12th March 2011: Flute Recital by Sri. Sridhar, an eminent Artist from Singapore, accompanied by Smt. Savithri Sreenivas on Violin, Sri. Ravishankar on Mridhangam, and Sri. Prakash Kandasamy on Tabla at the ICC at 7.30pm.
12th March 2011 : Introducing ‘Reading Session’ for the Children at the ICC from 3-4pm., All Children between the age group 8-14years were invited to attend the Reading Session, Mrs. Smita Theodore ICC, Librarian conducted the Reading Session & read out short stories to the children.

12th Jan 2011: Inauguration of an exhibition “Kalpana : Masterpieces of Figurative Indian Contemporary Paintings”, showcasing works (re-prints) of
14 best known painters from India at the ICC at 7.30pm. The exhibition is curated by Anjolie Ela Menon and will be on display at the
ICC until 12th Feb 2011. There will also be screening of documentaries on paintings of India at the ICC every Tuesday and Saturday at
3pm till the exhibition is on.

28th October, 2010: The official visit of His Excellency Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India and Mrs. Gursharan Kaur to Malaysia from 26-28th October, 2010 included a visit by Mrs. Gursharan Kaur to the Temple of Fine Arts, on 28th October, 2010 wherein she presented musical instruments, sent by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi, to the President, Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur. The Temple of Fine Arts (TFA) had organized an event on its premises at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur in honour of Mrs. Gursharan Kaur on the morning of 28th October, 2010.
Mrs.Gursharan Kaur, in her brief speech, conveyed her appreciation on the remarkable efforts made to establish and nurture an Institution like the Temple Of Fine Arts which, in spite of the challenges in today’s world strives to preserve and propagate India’s great culture and civilization, far from the shores of India. She hoped that the children learning Indian classical music and dance at the TFA would serve as cultural ambassadors between India and Malaysia for generations to come, and assured her support to them. Mrs.Gursharan Kaur also presented a symbolic musical instruments to the TFA President, Mr. Kanagasivam who thanked her and reciprocated by presenting her with a memento.
